Getting Ready For School

We had open house for Riley's school today. I was nervous about how Riley was going to be when we got there because she does tend to be very shy when she first meets people. We walked in and her teacher, Mrs. Lisa, was right there and introduced herself to Riley. Riley talked to her and then we were off to the table to start a "project" that they are going to finish on Tuesday. Once we were done with that Riley just went off and started playing. She LOVED the kitchen area and fed the dolls and made dinner for everyone. She even played with other kids and went and sat down with all the boys and played with the cars for a minute. I was so proud of her for not sticking right to my leg like she always does. Then it was time to go and I told her to go tell Mrs. Lisa "bye", so she went over and gave her a hug and told her that she would see her next week - how sweet. I am now really excited for her to go to school because I know that she is going to love it! Now we have lots of preparing to do for Tuesday because we were given a list of items that she needs to bring, so off to Target for tomorrow... oh darn:)
