Dance

Riley's 1st day of dance. She does a half hour of tap and a half hour of ballet. I think she likes tap the best because that is all she will show us.

13.1

Jason ran his first half marathon and I ran my first 5K! I surprisingly enough ran the whole thing and actually felt good after! I will be running the Cooper River Bridge Run in April which is a 10K if anyone wants to join me! Jason did great and finished under 2 hours! Not sure if he will be running another anytime soon, but maybe again next year:)

New Year's Day

We went to a party out on the Adams' farm for New Year's Day. Riley and Reagan love going out there and I'm really not sure why. Both girls are deathly afraid of dogs yet they love to walk around with all the animals that just roam the land.

The turkey who is very noisy.

The very pretty longhaired geese or ducks... not real sure, but they were pretty.

One of the 4 pigs. They are just like cats and like to "bonk" you when you are walking. Reagan loved it until it started to really get close, LOL.
And Reagan's favorite... the sheep which she was mad that we wouldn't let her ride!
Dinner! Yum!
Now again, for 2 kids that are terrified of dogs, they loved all these animals and to surprise you all... I didn't get a picture of Riley walking through the pasture to find the horse which she loves and somehow doesn't realize that he is really really big. Also, for 2 kids that hate any food that I give them, they loved this pig. Reagan went and told Mr. Omar that it was the best chicken she ever had, hahahaha!

New Year's Eve

We had a party and it was a blast! All the people Jason works with and our neighbors came over and we had oysters and tons of other food. Amazingly, Riley has decided that she LOVES oysters! All of Riley's friends were here and she stayed up until 12:30!!! I couldn't believe she made it up that long and there were no major breakdowns. All of the meltdowns were from Reagan who hit the sack at 9 because she was scared of the fireworks.

Snow White helping me clean up from the tree.

Riley and Leighton.

We had sparklers and only one accident. Reagan burned her hand... good thing Gumpy wasn't here and good thing we had an ER doctor here:) He said it was no biggy... just a little 2nd degree burn that would blister and sure enough it did and it has now cracked open just like he said. She shows everyone we see (including the people at the grocery store). DSS might be coming to get me, haha:)
We danced!
Riley and Lily... Lily was very tired and sat in any lap she could find:)
Riley and Cheryl... her other BFF

We had a lot of fun and just might have to do it again soon.

Christmas

Nonnie's house was full of fun and excitement for Christmas. It was fun having everyone all there again... we just really missed Sissy, Mike, Dylan, and Harlie:( But good thing they weren't there b/c where would we put their stockings:) And yes, there are 2 "socks" b/c Candy forgot the girl's stockings!

On our way to church.

Emmett dressed up as Santa b/c they didn't get their picture with Santa with all the girls this year... yes he scared Reagan, haha.

Reagan loved her bike... she rode it all over Nonnie's house.

We had fun playing with all the new toys and hanging out Christmas day. Then the day after, we bunndled ourselves up and headed to Jason's grandma's house. As we drove we went from a drizzle, to snow flurries, to heavy snow... who would have thought it would ever happen! The girls loved playing in the snow when we got there and having a snowball fight with their cousins! I would have more pictures, but everytime I walked outside someone nailed me with a snowball! NOT COOL!

Then the next day we woke up to snow at our house... of course that melted pretty quick, but still nice to look at.

We've Been Busy

I would like to say that we've been busy with the "24 days of Christmas fun", but we really have just been busy with life. Here is the rest of what we did for our "fun":

12 - We put on our pjs and rode around and looked at lights. We drove all over our neighborhood and also went down the rode to a house that has the "dancing " lights.

13- Riley's Christmas program. She was the best angel out there! Nana and Papa came and brought Ben and Kenzie so our fun for the day was going to Chick-fil-a with them and then not napping and just playing all afternoon!

14- Instead of making gingerbread houses we decided to make a Rice Krispie treat house. I made the houses and the girls decorated them.... Riley really did most of hers alone and Reagan would tell me where to put icing and then she would do the rest. They had a lot of fun with that and then it was also fun eating it:)

One day we were being very lazy and stayed home for the morning. We did 2 different crafts that morning. I had intentions of doing more, but the girls got stuck on the snowflakes and didn't want to do anything else.... Reagan sat for over an hour in the afternoon just cutting paper!

15- Paper Snowflakes

16- We made the pipe cleaner candy canes. They both loved stringing the beads and wished we had more to do, but unfortunately I only found one pack at the craft stores... next year I will shop earlier:)

17 and 18 and 19 - We packed, made cookies for Papa, and waited for the UPS guy on day 17 before heading to Aiken to have Christmas with Nana and Papa and then with Gran.

20 - We made Melted Snowmen for Riley's classmates

21 - Santa came to visit us at Nonnie's house. Gumpy told Reagan to go see who was outside and when he opened the door Santa was there and scared the poop out of her. She cried the whole time, but she was a trooper and tried her hardest to get a picture. She even tried to say cheese while crying in one picture which would have been a good one except of course Riley had her eyes closed which is becoming the thing for her.

22 and 23 we were so busy going from here to there.... off to Varnville to get Meme, hanging out at Nonnie's with all the family coming into town, and shopping!

24- we decorated sugar cookies for Santa because when he came to visit that was what he asked for!
So I might not have gotten in 24 actual events, but for the whole 24 days before Christmas we were busy doing something and it was always fun! I loved every bit of it, but I am definately glad the holidays are over.... I was tired and took a 3 hour nap one day and then laid on the couch all day today... finally feel like I am ready to tackle the gym tomorrow though and get back to "life".
