We've Been Busy

I would like to say that we've been busy with the "24 days of Christmas fun", but we really have just been busy with life. Here is the rest of what we did for our "fun":

12 - We put on our pjs and rode around and looked at lights. We drove all over our neighborhood and also went down the rode to a house that has the "dancing " lights.

13- Riley's Christmas program. She was the best angel out there! Nana and Papa came and brought Ben and Kenzie so our fun for the day was going to Chick-fil-a with them and then not napping and just playing all afternoon!

14- Instead of making gingerbread houses we decided to make a Rice Krispie treat house. I made the houses and the girls decorated them.... Riley really did most of hers alone and Reagan would tell me where to put icing and then she would do the rest. They had a lot of fun with that and then it was also fun eating it:)

One day we were being very lazy and stayed home for the morning. We did 2 different crafts that morning. I had intentions of doing more, but the girls got stuck on the snowflakes and didn't want to do anything else.... Reagan sat for over an hour in the afternoon just cutting paper!

15- Paper Snowflakes

16- We made the pipe cleaner candy canes. They both loved stringing the beads and wished we had more to do, but unfortunately I only found one pack at the craft stores... next year I will shop earlier:)

17 and 18 and 19 - We packed, made cookies for Papa, and waited for the UPS guy on day 17 before heading to Aiken to have Christmas with Nana and Papa and then with Gran.

20 - We made Melted Snowmen for Riley's classmates

21 - Santa came to visit us at Nonnie's house. Gumpy told Reagan to go see who was outside and when he opened the door Santa was there and scared the poop out of her. She cried the whole time, but she was a trooper and tried her hardest to get a picture. She even tried to say cheese while crying in one picture which would have been a good one except of course Riley had her eyes closed which is becoming the thing for her.

22 and 23 we were so busy going from here to there.... off to Varnville to get Meme, hanging out at Nonnie's with all the family coming into town, and shopping!

24- we decorated sugar cookies for Santa because when he came to visit that was what he asked for!

So I might not have gotten in 24 actual events, but for the whole 24 days before Christmas we were busy doing something and it was always fun! I loved every bit of it, but I am definately glad the holidays are over.... I was tired and took a 3 hour nap one day and then laid on the couch all day today... finally feel like I am ready to tackle the gym tomorrow though and get back to "life".
