When I was making Jonathan's cake, I had some batter leftover so I made 2 mini cake/cupcakes for the girls and I was going to let them decorate them. They slept a long time on Friday and when they woke up we had to run to the grocery store and by the time we got back it was almost dinner time so I didn't want them ruining their dinner. Then, Riley started complaining on Friday that her tongue was hurting her from the blisters she has from the Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. So I felt really bad (and lazy because I wasn't hungry and didn't really want to cook) so I let them pick a color of icing and go to town on their cupcakes. They had cupcakes, applesauce, and grapes for dinner.... oh and chocolate milk to wash it down, LOL. Good wholesome dinner! They had a lot of fun doing it even though it only took all of 2 seconds for Riley to be done and Reagan to suck all the icing out of the bag, haha. Riley did a good job... I was really impressed.
Riley and Reagan decorating the cupcakes
The finished products.... notice how good Riley's stars are... Reagan didn't let hers sit long after I took the icing bag away, haha.

Pretty good cake, but next time maybe Mike can help you get it just right :)
Dylan is so excited for her Cinderella cake! When are you going into business?
Lara, that is great! You most definitely have a talent for this. Mel
I am so glad to read I am not the only mom out there that would let my kids have cupcakes for dinner. I'm Donna's Becky by the way.
I love the shot of Reagan sucking the icing out of the bag!!!
