Wedding Weekend

We had a very eventful weekend at Heather's wedding. It all started with Jason deciding to leave Thursday night instead of Friday morning. It made since to leave early, but I had to rush and work hard to get done everything I needed to get done. I had everything done and Jason was on his way home and I was in the bathroom getting dressed with the girls right there in the room with me playing. They were playing in my laundry hamper even though I told them not to because they were going to get hurt. AND then......... I hear a crash, both girls started screaming so I run out to see what it was and there is Riley laying in the floor trying to crawl out of the hamper. When she tipped over she knocked over the table and either that hit her in the face or the vase on it did. Who knows, but I looked at her and could instantly see 3 bruises all around her eye. GREAT I thought. So that backed me up some because I had to take out time to ice and comfort and figure out what in the world we would do if she had a full blown black eye for the wedding. Luckily the red spot was all that stuck around and I was able to cover it up.

Then Friday I figured if I put Riley down for a nap late she would be able to last longer at the rehearsal dinner, BUT...... really that just rushed us and of course she woke up cranky and didn't want to go and cried and cried and pitched fits and didn't want to get dressed until Gran bribed her with an ice cream cone:) We finally got her dressed and got out the door, but of course we were about 20 minutes late for the rehearsal... oh well. And then she was shy and wouldn't talk or look at anyone there, but luckily it only took her 5 minutes and she was full of things to say and did great. Although she was not going to walk with that boy:)

The day of the wedding Riley was great. She was in a great mood and ready to take on her flower girl responsibilities. She was excited to go to the bridal brunch where she was perfect (except for the 5 trips to the bathroom). And then took a nap, got up a showered for me and was ready to go get dressed with the big girls.
She was perfect while they were getting dressed and loved hanging out with them. I even left her back there and the bride came to me later and told me that she was so glad to have Riley there because she talked the whole time and kept her mind of off being nervous:)

Both girls were perfect during the ceremony and reception. All they wanted to do at the reception was dance and luckily Daddy and Uncle Jarrod were willing to dance the night away with them. Riley was able to get a few bridesmaids on the dance floor with her, but mostly she stuck with her dad:)

Unfortunately I didn't really have a lot of time on my hands to be snapping pictures all the time so hopefully I can order some from the photographer:)
