Second Week of School

Well, Riley cried today! She cried for about an hour, but then settled down and had a fun time the rest of the day. Her teacher said that she really had a good time in music class which surprises no one. She is learning to sign to "Jesus Love Me". She is also learning so quickly! She is surprising us all the time with the new prayers she is learning and all the little songs and things that she already knows. It's amazing that in 3 days she already is saying a new blessing before dinner for us! And when she sits down on the floor to watch tv she tries to teach Reagan "criss cross applesauce hands in my lap". You say something once to this kid and she remembers it forever.

So we already know that she is smart, but now seeing that she is learning things so quickly just seems like she may be a genius. Could she be???? Hmmmm..... my dad was in the parking lot with her at the condo this past weekend and Riley pointed to the number 35 and said "8". Right away he said no, but then thought "Wait! 3+5 is 8, does she really know that?". Hmmmm.... does she really know that or is it just a coincident? I am going to have to say that she totally knew that... she is way smart and she gets it all from me!
