Surprise, Surprise

Tonight for dinner we had salmon, broccoli, and rice - all things that Riley claims she doesn't like.

Her normal dinner time routine is to just sit there, ask for fruit because she doesn't like what I made (the answer is always no), sit some more and drink milk, and then say she is done and get down.

Tonight I told her that we were having fish. She said "Fish? That's neat." I got her situated at the table with her plate and then went to take care of Reagan. When I turned back around the salmon was gone and she said with a full mouth, "look, I eat fish mommy!" I couldn't believe it. She wanted more and then while it cooled she proceeded to eat the broccoli and the rice. I think we are going to have to have this meal more often. It was so nice to finally see her eat something beside cereal, PB sandwiches, fruit, and junk!

The other surprise we had from her came a couple weeks ago. After only 2 days at school she was reciting a new blessing before dinner. Now we have to say "God Our Father" and "God Is Great" - she is funny. Here is a video of her saying her new prayer. If you listen closely at the end of "God Our Father" you will hear Reagan says "Amen".
