Both kids were funny tonight at dinner. We had BBQ chicken on a stick ( R1's name for drumsticks), mashed potatoes, and green beans. We have figured out that R1 will eat any meat as long as it is on the bone and "chicken on a stick" is her absolute favorite. So tonight she was chowing down on her chicken and her manners kicked in. Her hands were a mess from all the BBQ sauce so she put down the drumstick and wiped her hands off on her napkin. Instead of putting back on the table she felt the need to put her napkin in her lap where it belongs! I love that she wants to be "proper", but I just wish she didn't decided to start this on the day that she was wearing a white shirt and eating BBQ sauce:)

R2 loves all food, but tonight she decided that the mashed potatoes were her favorite. She was so excited because I gave her the bowl and spoon and let her eat it all on her own. She did really well and actually used the spoon the right way for about 2 bites. Then she decided that was too hard so she moved on to using her fingers and then her hands. Then she realized how funny the potatoes felt on her face so she continued to wipe then all over her face and just rub her hands over her face to feel it!! It was very cute and the best part was that I was still eating so Jason had to clean her up:)

Mmmmmmmm, Yummmm!
